The fixture for the seventh season of the Women’s Big Bash League has been revealed, with more matches to be televised than ever before.

The season will commence on 14 October, when the Sydney Sixers host the Melbourne Stars at North Sydney Oval. Seven Network, Foxtel and Kayo will all broadcast the season opener.

Confirmed locations for the upcoming season include Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Mackay and the Barossa Valley. The Brisbane Heat will be forced away from its usual home ground, Allan Border Field, due to a redevelopment of the venue.

The venue for some games is yet to be announced. In previous seasons, matches have been played in Geelong, Canberra, Cairns, Wollongong, Bendigo, Albury, Ballarat, Wagga Wagga, Alice Springs and Burnie.

Fans will be forced to wait until 30 October for a rematch of last season’s Final between the Sydney Thunder and the Melbourne Stars, which will be played on the Gold Coast. The two sides will meet again on 6 November at the Stars’ home ground in St Kilda. Only the first of the two Final rematches is set to be broadcast on free-to-air television.

The regular season will conclude on 21 November; the three-match finals series will then run from 24 November to 27 November.
